Sharpen a kitchen knife

Students learn a comprehensive sharpening skill set to use at home with clear step by step instructions and theory. Practising on two of their own knives, we cover repairs (typically chipped edges and broken tips), sharpening on Japanese water stones, how to test the edge and long term maintenance of the edge. Students receive a handout to reference at home and advice on appropriate sharpening setups for their knives.

  • Cost: $150.00 p/person

  • Knives: Two kitchen knives

Details:

  • Address: The Mill, Shed 20 / 9 Walker St, Castlemaine Vic.

  • Time: 5.20am for a 5.30pm start, through to 7.30pm.

  • Course size: We have a maximum of four participants per course which allows for a high level of tuition.

  • Minimum age: 16.

  • In the event that a course date falls on a high fire danger day, the course may need to be rescheduled.
